Recommended Activities

  1. Study the resource maps of your property. Using the Water Resources Section Examples as a guide, draft the water quality/riparian & fish habitat/wetlands section of your forest stewardship plan (Resource Category 3). Note any streams or wetlands, their types. Describe management considerations, protection measures, and any opportunities for habitat enhancement.
  2. Watch the threatened and endangered species video.
  3. Use the information you’ll receive from Kevin and the Special Resources and Biodiversity Section Examples (PDF) to write the protection of special resources and biodiversity (Resource Category 7) section of your plan.
  4. Turn in a complete draft of your plan to your site visit forester.
