Learn More and Work on Your Plan
Recommended Activities
- Document any invasive weeds present on your property, including blackberry, holly, ivy, and others. Using the Forest Health Section Examples (PDF) as a guide, write up management recommendations for controlling these weeds, focusing on integrated pest management, which means considering multiple control options (mechanical, cultural, chemical, prevention). Include this information in the invasive weeds subsection of the forest health/wildfire/invasive species section (Resource Category 1) of your plan.
- If you want to include it in your plan, draft the optional Specialized Forest Products section (Resource Category 10). Use the Specialized Forest Products Section Examples (PDF) for guidance.
- Using the Legacy Planning Section Examples (PDF) as boilerplate, write the Conservation Based Estate/Legacy Planning sections.
